Plate Notes is committed to making this site usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or assistive technology. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we do
- All page content is reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA ratios (4.5:1 body, 3:1 large text and UI components).
- Every image has descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked
aria-hidden. - Pages have a logical heading order (single
h1per page) and use semantic HTML landmarks. - A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page.
- No content depends on motion, autoplay, scroll-triggered animation, or content-visibility gating.
- Forms and interactive controls have visible, programmatic labels.
Known limitations
We test against axe DevTools, WAVE, and Lighthouse on every release. If you find a barrier that isn't documented here, please email us — we treat accessibility regressions as critical bugs.
